Your privacy is extremely important to us. This policy explains clearly how Honku Fanjü (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “this Application”) collects, uses, processes, and protects your personal information.
Information Collection and Use
We follow the principle of “minimum necessity” and only collect information that is necessary to keep the core functions of the App running:
- Text processed for translation: The sentences you enter for translation and phonetic annotation. This content is necessary to provide the feature. We do not store it in a way that can be linked to your personal identity (such as device ID or account). It is processed in memory in real time only to return results.
- Device identifiers and log information: To ensure service stability and a good user experience, we may collect anonymous device information (such as OS version and App crash logs). This information cannot directly identify you.
- Pro membership purchase information: When you subscribe to Pro via the App Store, Apple processes your payment information. We only receive confirmation from Apple that the transaction has been completed and do not collect or store any payment details (such as credit card numbers).
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We will never sell your personal information. We may share information only when necessary in the following cases:
- Third-party service providers: To provide features, we integrate the following services. They process data only according to our instructions:
- Cloud computing and translation API providers: Used to process your intelligent translation requests. Your text data is protected with encryption during transmission and processing.
- Text-to-speech providers: Used to generate spoken audio.
- Legal requirements: When required by laws, legal procedures, litigation, or mandatory requests from government authorities.
Permission Management
For access to sensitive permissions, we will:
- Clearly inform you of the purpose when requesting permission for the first time
- Request permissions only when the related feature requires them
- Allow you to revoke granted permissions at any time in your device settings
- Note that revoking permissions may affect the normal use of related features
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. After updates, we will notify you prominently within the App. If you continue to use the App after updates, it means you have read, understood, and agreed to accept the updated policy.
