Welcome to Honku
Honku (hereinafter referred to as "this App") is an intelligent translation and learning tool designed for language learners, offering features such as multi-language translation, analysis, phonetic notation, and text-to-speech.
The Honku Terms of Service is a contract between you and the developer of this App (hereinafter referred to as “we”) regarding the download, installation, and use of our products and services. Before using our products and services, please read and fully understand this Agreement.
Scope and Acceptance
By installing and using this App, or by accessing any websites and services related to this App, you agree to the following:

We may revise this Agreement due to business development, laws and regulations, or other reasonable reasons. The revised version takes effect upon publication. Please review it regularly to stay informed of the latest content. If you do not agree with the updates, you should stop using this App and related services immediately.
User Code of Conduct
You must comply with the following rules when using the App:
- You must not modify, adapt, crack, decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer the App in any form. You must not attempt to extract the source code or the technical implementation logic of the App in any way. You must not extract or use any resource files contained in the App without authorization, including but not limited to images, fonts, audio, and data files.
- You must not use the App to engage in any illegal activities or acts that violate public order and good morals, including but not limited to publishing illegal information, infringing on the legitimate rights and interests of others, disseminating illegal or harmful information, or interfering with or disrupting the normal operation of the service.
- You must not attempt to circumvent, interfere with, or damage the App’s security mechanisms, permission controls, authentication processes, or other system functions, nor exploit vulnerabilities for malicious operations.
- If you are a minor, you must use the App with the knowledge, consent, and guidance of your guardian. Guardians must fulfill their legal guardianship obligations to ensure minors use the App reasonably and legally, and bear corresponding legal responsibilities for the minor’s use.
All content you translate or process through this App must comply with applicable laws and regulations and must not involve:
- Endangering national security, disclosing state secrets, subverting state power, or undermining national unity;
- Illegal or content contrary to public order and good morals, such as violence, pornography, or gambling;
- Infringing on others’ intellectual property rights, trade secrets, portrait rights, privacy rights, or other legitimate rights and interests;
- Other content prohibited by laws and regulations.
User Content and Intellectual Property
The content displayed in this App, including but not limited to interface design, graphics, text, audio, and trademarks, is owned by us or the relevant rights holders. It is protected by Chinese and international laws. Without authorization, you must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or use it for commercial purposes in any form.
We value your privacy. The “User Content” you enter and translate is used only to generate results for the current service request. We do not store or continuously use this content in a way that can be linked to your personal identity for other purposes, nor do we provide or disclose it to any third party. You must ensure the legality of any content you create and bear all related legal responsibilities arising therefrom.
Installation, Uninstallation, and Updates
Please download and install the App correctly according to your device type and system requirements to ensure full functionality and stable operation.
If you decide to stop using the App, you may remove it from your device using the system-provided uninstallation method. Please note that uninstalling may result in the loss of local data. If you have not enabled iCloud cloud sync and have not backed up your data, proceed with caution.
To continuously optimize performance, fix issues, and improve the user experience, we may update the App from time to time, including but not limited to feature upgrades, interface adjustments, security enhancements, and system compatibility optimizations. You understand and agree that you may receive update prompts during use. We recommend keeping the App up to date to ensure full functionality and safe use. If you refuse to update, some features may not function properly.
Payments and Subscriptions
Fees: All products and services you purchase through the App are completed via Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Related fees are collected by Apple on our behalf.
Auto-renewal: If you purchase subscription services, your subscription will automatically renew within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before expiration through your Apple account settings. To cancel, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, then select the relevant subscription to cancel. Please pay attention to the auto-renewal time to avoid additional charges due to late cancellation.
Refund policy: All goods paid through Apple (including subscriptions and non-consumable items) are subject to Apple’s refund policy. To request a refund, please use Apple’s official refund channel. Please note that Apple handles refund reviews independently, and the final result is subject to Apple’s decision. We do not directly process payments or refunds and cannot intervene in Apple’s refund review.
Price adjustments: We reserve the right to adjust the price of goods or services according to our operating strategy. Price adjustments will be displayed within the App or during the payment process, and you may choose freely whether to pay. If you complete the payment, it will be deemed that you accept the price; if you do not accept the adjusted price, please cancel the subscription or stop purchasing.
Disclaimer
You understand and agree that due to the limitations of current artificial intelligence technology, the App’s translation results, phonetic annotations, and other analytical information are for reference and learning purposes only. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. We do not assume any liability for any decisions or actions you take based on information provided by the App.
We are not liable for service interruptions or data loss caused by force majeure (such as hacker attacks or network interruptions) or reasons not attributable to us.
Updates to This Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. After updates, we will notify you prominently within the App. If you continue to use the App after updates, it means you have read, understood, and agreed to accept the updated Agreement.
